Mountains

Don’t shoot what it looks like. Shoot what it feels like.    - David Alan Harvey

In contrast to the deserts of the Southwest, which I consider a “hard” environment - due to the abundance of sandstone, scarcity of water, dazzling sun and oven-like heat - are the mountains, which contain lush forests, lakes, rivers and snow. Being a resident of Colorado, the mountains are never very far away. I find them particularly inviting in the fall, when the Aspens and Cottonwoods light up in vivid yellows, oranges and the occasional reds. Fall photoshoots are a much-anticipated trip every year. The following images offer a sampling of what these majestic mountains have to offer.
